State-wide Sponsored Screenings a Huge Success
On Saturday August 2, 2008, the Mike Geltrude Foundation sponsored 3 simultaneous skin-cancer screenings at the Jersey Shore. These screenings were held at Ship Bottom, Ortley Beach, and Brick Beach. Over 540 screenings were conducted and presumptive diagnoses included 8 melanomas, 17 basal cell carcinomas, and 5 squamous cell carcinomas. The foundation was proud to provide the resources and funding for this important event and look forward to saving more lives in the future.
