Foundation Sets World Record
On May 19, 2007, the Mike Geltrude Foundation gave, what is believed to be, the largest educational presentation about Melanoma in history! Over 4,000 Toms River high school students listened intently to various speakers for over an hour, including twelve year old Michael Geltrude. The event was held at the Ritacco Center and was made possible by the generous assistance of the Toms River Superintendent of Schools, Mike Ritacco, and his gracious staff.
The event was filmed by professional filmmaker Brian Kaiser (who is best known for his work with Lance Armstrong) and will serve as the basis for the educational documentary, “Dead Wrong…It’s Only Skin Cancer” to be released in the fall of 2008.
